THERMAL & ACOUSTIC INSULATION
Glass wool
Glass wool is an insulating material made from fibres of glass arranged using a binder into a texture similar to wool. The process traps many small pockets of air between the glass, and these small air pockets result in high thermal insulation properties. The primary use of glass wool is for thermal and sound insulation. The largest use of glass wool is for home and building insulation in the form of loose wool, blankets or rolls, or in the form of rigid boards for acoustic insulation.
Rockwool
Rockwool insulation (also called mineral or slag wool insulation): Made from rock, blast furnace slag, and other raw materials which are melted and spun into fibers to resemble the texture of wool. Rock wool comes in Matts or rolls.
Extruded Polystyrene Boards (XPS Boards)
Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Thermal Insulation Board is a rigid foam board extruded from polystyrene, having closed cell structure. Extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards improve a building’s energy efficiency by providing a complete layer of insulation on the wall and roof.
